    I am wondering how do you find what cd drive you cd is in. I know how to do a search for you the cd drives but what happens when you have the cd-writer. That counts a cd drive. I just want it to return the drive letter that the cd being used is on.

    What do you mean, the CD being used?
    How is one CD drive different from another, if you have more than one?

    Take a look at this thread which I answered on how to detect it's letter and if there are any CDs in the CD-ROM.
