Hi!

Run a VB EXE without vbruntime files???

Anyone knows if is possible to make a VB exe that doesn't need, or dosen't need to instal by any instalation program the VB runtime files?

Thanks

Unfortunately, VB requires the runtime files to translate to machine code. This is one of the major disadvantages of VB.

The only advantage though , is that all the exe compiled are much much smaller than native languages. But in my eyes, thats the ONLY advantage, the runtimes tend to make it slow in some cases.

No way, "Fusion V1" is a tool that creates a solid stand-alone .EXE from any VB project. I recently found it on the net and it was amazingly fast & smaller code!
Take a look at http://www.bit-arts.com. Hopefully the server is not down, because the last times I could not enter it.

Hey Mad Compie, did you like Fusion so much that you bought it? I do think the program is good but isn't worth the asking price.

Yes I liked it a lot, but I did not really buy it. Don't say it loudly to your friends, but I found a keymaker (crack) on the net from some freak site. I think it was on http://www.thecrack.net:8080
BUT: I have a little problem for the moment, i uninstalled it and tried to re-install the program, but it seems that the installation hangs now!

You're welcome.
I'm talking to bit-arts' support service right now!

First of all, i do not encourage piracy. I believe that the programmers should be paid for their creations. I have however found a link to a fully licensed copy of Fusion if any of you pirates want it it is at:

Enjoy yourself

You're 100% right about that gfrench. But there's a lot of software piracy in the world. Programmers should be aware of that phenomenon and protect their soft more accurately. I don't think any hacker could crack my programs since I create my own license algorithms in a mathematical way (which sometimes I don't see the solution). Otherwise, the more hacked programs, the more publicity, since users can evaluate their copy longer than 30 days i.e.
But anyway, I share your opinion.
