    Exclamation Read, read...

Read, read and read some more. I would recommend the Sams Teach yourself series for anyone wanting to learn programming with VB or C++.

Get Sams Teach Yourself Visual Basic 6 in 21 Days if you want to learn VB. You will learn loads.

You could also browse the many articles on this site, as well as downloading and studying some of the projects.

    Just a few suggestions.

...don't forget us. There's a lot of people on these forums, who are happy to help anyone with a question.

One of the best ways to learn is to try!
I learned just the basics of basics from a teacher, after that just 1 word, TRY!

Not only it's fun, after you succeed, you are just so proud of yourself, and also you can ask us... well, you are maybe the first person here that can ask me question without API stuff...
