Crystal Parameter Limitations?

When I create a parameter in crystal and I use the set default values, I pick the table but it only will use the first 500 or so records during development and runtime. Is there a limit to the amount of default values a parameter can have?

Is the Save Data with Report option uncheck? This is located under File on the main menu.
