to John,

You know how in your perferences/profile you can change your time offset, how could i work out the time offset for where i am. i live in South Australia, Australia and i'm +9:30 GMT. (according to microsoft's time/date options). could you change the time of vb-world to be GMT and for people to have a list of the country they live in and it will automatically set the time offset. or if that's too much trouble, could you tell me how to work out the time offset from the current time on vb-world.

thank you

VB-World is based on EST, which is GMT -5. Therefore, GMT is +5 offset, so you will be +19.5 . This feature will be changing in the next version of the software.

on the topic of time, when i post, it shows the time I posted for 5 minutes later,
for example, I post at 11:30am, it shows I posted at 11:35am.... what is wrong?

The same thing happens to me. It used to be 2 minute offset, now it's 5. I am from the Eastern side of the US (New York Time).

I don't think it's any kind of offset. It's probably a variation of times. I mean, everyone will be a little off the proper time.

John - what will you be changing to? Why not use GMT? It seems like a much more sensible idea.
