Connection between C# and SQL server 7.0

i've searched high and low for the code to open and close a connection between C# and SQL 7...but all i got was more technical stuff....im very new to C# and am very confused...as confused as a baby in a topless bar :( ...anyways i hope someone can really really help me out here...
