lol ok dont ask me why.. because i don't really know.. but
for some reason about a year ago on my old computer
i installed winXP.. but I messed up and it put windows on the d:\ drive (very little space).. so I just ran the disk again and tried to put it on the c:\ drive.. It froze, so i couldn't do anything but power it off..
now the computers toast as far as i'm concerned. what can i do???

k my friend ( internet only friend so i dunno his level of computer knowledge  ) told me to do this, dunno how good of an idea it is:

Delete the drive by making a .bat file, whose first line is
"Format", and call it autorun.bat, and put the floppy in the computer.

I guess i'll try it.. but the computers at my dads and its late, so I'll get it tomorrow :p

any other advice?? ty.

So you dont mind losing the data?

If you dont mind then using a win98 startup disk enter dos and reformat the drive

Format c:
Format D:

etc
:) :)

My best advice would be to not openly claim on a public forum that you're running pirated Microsoft software on your computer.

Don't you know they have anal-dwelling monkies that they send out after you if they catch it?

ok. i formatted the c: drive, but i couldnt format the d: drive, i think it was because it has the OS on it. now since the c: drives free can i put linux on it ( ownloading linux is legal right? ;) )?
