    Group Headers Q...

    Hallo,

I have a report that had the detail section and its group headers set up so they will stay together (they would not break on the bottom of the page, rather they will leave a blank spot at the bottom of the last page and show on the next page)

My customer complained about the blank sports, so I removed the grouping. She's driving me nuts couse now she doesnt like it when the group header prints at the bottom of the page and the details show on the beggining of the next page.

This sounds far fetched but... is there a way to configure the grouping to not break when it will only print the group header at the bottom?

There is an option to repeat the group header on each page. However this will not solve the problem of the header printing on the last line of a page. There is no option that I know of which will solve this problem.

You can try increasing the line height of the group header so it spans just over two lines. This may cause it to start a new page before printing the header (providing Keep Together is set for the group section).

Thanks guys. I read that article but its just another way of doing a 'keep group together' effect - but with formulas.
