I am trying to figure out how to initate and ocx that runs with i.e. without having to add a browser control to my form and the object tag.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly but can you clear this a little bit ?

Well internet explorer loads the activex controls when u go to the page that has the <object> tag to that control or whatever I am trying to initate a activex control without using a web browser
