Hope you can help with this question.

I have a gallery where I want people to rate (from 1 to 5 or something) their opinion of a picture or maybe a download.

That was a statement, not a question. You need to be much more specific than that.

It would be like me posting here a question that looked like this:

I have a car that goes 120 mph or maybe 10 mph.
