    Utility to monitor modem

    Hey,

    does anybody on here know of a good freeware or shareware utlity to monitor the traffic going through my ADSL modem?

    i have a netgear router with an ethernet modem going through it and i want to be able to see all the traffic that is going through the modem. i'm hoping this will tell me if my network is slowing up the net, or is it the modem line is full.

    Router or is the modem directly plugged into your computer?

    If it's directly connected, check out DUMeter.

    thanks for the quick reply mate, i actually already have Dumeter!

    the modem is attached to the router though, and so that's what makes it kinda tricky...

    Then you'll never get a 100% accurate bandwidth measurement unless you're using a higher end router (I never seen any consumer routers measure bandwidth usage).
