posts per day
This forum has a feature that tells you how many post per day average a poster posts. I think the formula for calculating this number might be incorrect. The number should not be derived from the date the poster registered and the number of post to date, but should really be derived from "how often" he posts. He might have posted 15 post yesterday, 24 today, But for the past two weeks, nothing. and maybe the next day also nothing, but the day after that, 11. I think the formula could be calculated taking the past three weeks, instead of the time since he registered. What do you think?

Uhm... too much work?
Basically, the admins would be reluctant to make modifications to the code, since it needs to be 'maintained' as well.

I believe your idea is a good one, however, I believe there is no real good solution that would make everyone happy. For example, the person that posted more last month would want us to go back a month instead of three weeks.....
I believe that most people focus on the Total posts number more than the average number anyway. As such, I believe the overall average for what a person posts over the life of their time on the board makes the most sense in a 'global' sense.
