Right. I know a good amount of C++, and just getting into Visual C++, and one of the things that i would like to do is... Send an email via Windows Sockets, NOT using MAPI or anything.

Anyone have any ideas where to start, or any referneces on the net?

NOTE: ONe thing i have found stepping into the world of C++ and V C++ is the 'lack' of information available. When i started learning VB, i learned really fast because of all the examples available. There just isnt any good C++ or Visual C++ sites.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, i have some VB code for sending email via pure winsock API, so it might be able to be converted... I dont know. I read something about a WinInet class in C++... Would this help?

Any comments welcome or feedback welcome...

Anyway, i got the code on Planet Source code in the C++ section if anyone is interested.
