ActiveX/COM
Hello guys,
I have run across this problem recently, and I would like you guys to help me on this.
There's a program on my computer that has embed some html, vbs, js files in it, that means when i run the .exe file, the .exe will actually load the html, vbs files in it. Upon extracting the .html , .js, and vbs files by using a program called PExplorer (program's resouce extractor sort of thing), i found out that those vbs and html files are actually calling some ActiveX/COM upon loading, but when i tried to load that html file by accessing the file directly, i got a scripting error saying (permission denied... line ...) when the page's rendered in my IE browser, but everything runs perfect when i execute the .exe alone. I hope you guys understand what i'm trying to say here.
Now, i would like to know why i got permission denied when i load that html file directly ( i extract everything from that program, html, vbs and js), and wat's the difference is between running/loading the extracted the html file directly and accessing it through its program.
The ActiveX/COM that those HTML/VBS refers have something to do with my registry (it said RegistryControl).. But anyway i hope you can help me with that PLEASE . Thanx in advance.
Susan
