I have a temperature monitering program that came with my computer, It says I dont have a "CHA" fan and i heard that my "CHA" temperature is supposed to be at 30*C and since I dont have a CHA fan it goes up slowly and my computer over heats.
Does anyone know what CHA fan stands for?
and where can I get one of these "CHA" fans?

Its your chipset fan.

And what is the actual temp?

right now its 29*C, the only thing I have on my chipset is a heatsink... its 29 right now because I got a big fan blowing on it with the case on the computer off, if I turn off the fan the temp. slowly goes up until temp. warning goes off, then my computer shuts down.

What kind of MOBO is it?

And why do you have the side of your case off?

You know, thats really weird why your chipset is overheating. Do you have the same heat sink that came with the board? If you do , you should try to get it replaced. If you don't then put the original one back on.

I meant you need to get your board replaced....do you have a warranty on it?

why do i need my board replaced? its perfectly fine, wouldn't it be easy to jsut get more fans?

btw, i built my comp myself, so maybe its my case thats making it heat up by not having very many "air vent" thingys...

Well your chipset shouldn't be overheating period. I am thinking that it is a hardware defect because I build them all the time and I have NEVER, ever had my chipset overheat. I have even had my mobo sitting on my desk out in the open and my chipset hasn't overheated, my processor has but never my chipset.
