Resizing columns and rows in excel.

Hi all,

Here's my problem. I adjusted the width of the column A to 1 letter space and all the rows under the column A has the same width. Now the questions is how do adjust the size of a particular cell without effecting the size of other cells in the same column.

eg. the the column width for A1 is the size of 1 letter spacing and the column width for A2 is size of 2 letter spacing??

You can't!

You could set each column to a character space width then call on the merge cells option to merge columns & give this impression but what you've described above I don't think can be done.
