I had everything working on a new build of XP Pro.
I then installed Crystal Reports 5 and then tried to upgrade to 8.5.
Got a few errors on the way, but crystal seemed to work, so I ignored it, until I came to run SQL Server today

When trying to open a server in SQL Server I get the error:

"The setup routines for the SQL Server ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126"

I un installed SQL Server and reinstalled, but now SQL Server failed right at the end of installation with the same error and then rolls back the install automatically. Same with Access *sob*
I have uninstalled Crystal reprorts and still get the same error.
I have installed MDAC 2.6 and 2.7, but still NOTHING! Same error

We have tried everything and at a dead end now
Looks like another rebuild...Booooooooooooooooooo

Any ideas?
