IE Always ask this before downloading checkbox
You know that checkbox when you download something and it asks you if you want to save it or open it and to always ask that for that file type?
Well somehow I unchecked mine and I dont like this. I want to be able to specify save or open. I can't for the life of me find where the setting for this is saved. I even reinstalled IE and that didn't work. Anyone know how to get this option turned back on?
Thanks
Steven

Can you be any more specific please? As I've said I've searched all through the options and can't seem to find the correct thing.
The closses I found is under security settings File Download Enable and Disable but no option for Prompt.

Hey did you try other downloads because sometimes files will just do that to me to buy they are usually zip files. But only sometimes it does this.

Yeah it only does with some file types but its not an occasional thing its always with that file type.
And its because the checkbox in the download dialog thing says for Always ask this before opening this file type. Its gotta be saved in a file somewhere but I have no clue where. I even checked in the registry and didn't see it offhand in there under Internet Explorer.

Ill search around, its probaby just some value in an ini file somewhere. Or most likely in the registry somewhere.
we will get to the bottom of this.
