I can't BELIEVE this! I just re-installed Visual Basic 6.0 on my PC, added SP4; & now in my ADO project when I use the .CancelUpdate command it's DELETING the #$*#( record! Anyone else have this problem?? If so, how can I fix it, PLEASE! I was in the final stage of rolling out a prototype for my project-but now it's dead il I can fix this!!

well, I don't exactly know what's causing the problem but I have a method that usually works fine when something similar happens (e.g. suddenly my Common Dialog was unusable).
I would do this after you try everything else (how about take your project to your friend and try it there?):
Reinstall everything. Good start is the format c: /u /s command (you don't have to use the /s, just have a start up disk ready). Then install Windows and whatever you need including VB (don't install shareware programs and other ****. Try it then.
I know this isn't a solution you've probably looking for but it could help and it is better then uninstalling and reinstalling which never works the way you need.
