Yes, they have finally become more *******s then ever before!

OK. They blocked my use of Shoutcast radio, so now I cant broadcast. Anyway around it?

1. Force it to use another port...
2. DDOS them! :p
3. Ring and tell them to remove it, unless it breaches THEIR TOC's, then... tough!

if they only blocked YOU then chances are that they will remove it, but I doubt an ISP would just do this to a certain user:rolleyes:

the worst thing that an ISP would do is, I guess, to disconnect you and ban you from that ISP... unless you do something really wrong

If someone legally files a complaint, then they would help them. What I mean is that the ISPs dont really look to see who's downloading illegal software from newsgroups or whatever...

I'm on rr and the company owning the hitman game complained to my ISP cuz I posted *ahem ahem cough cough* to newsgroups (dumb me:D) and my ISP just disconnected me. I called them and there were like, we try to protect our customers, you just have to agree that it won't happen again and we'll reconnect you :) so it was nice hehe

I disagree, I have always had problems with ISP's:

My previous ISP (Skyweb) hated me. Why, because I didnt like it that my net connection would be on for 5 minutes and then off for 20min so I called and talked to tech support. No matter what they tried they couldnt fix it and after about being at my place 6 times (and f***ing up my firewall so bad i had to re-install my os ) (by that time I new the guys that came out and even helped them out with a few computer problems, and they didnt send the guy back that screwed up the firewall)

At one time the Tech support ppl (over the phone) told me that the wires had to *learn*

They said that they couldnt do anything about it and if a kept calling tech support they would drop my service. i told them fine and the next time it screwed up, I bashed their modem and threw it across the basement :D (yes I have been to anger management).

Then 6 months after discontinuing the service and receving threats that they would send a collection agency i returned their hardware. (i pass the building almost every :D)

Have you tried reading your ISP's Acceptable Use Policy? This is like me asking how do I get around my ISP's policy of no more than 1gig uploaded and 2 gig downloaded a day. It isnt going to happen.

RR has been quite nice:D I've left my comp on for 5 days, downloading with full speed 24 hours  so that was 120 hours at 250-300 kbps :) (hard disk space!)
they never complained:p

Lol. I got so scared today.

Ok so the phone rang and I picked it up without asking who it was and said "Hello?". And she was like "Hello is Suzanne Wonder there?" And im like "No" and the lady is like well ok. And the reason i got so scared is because she sounded serious and mad. So then I pressed star *69 and got the number and was sweatin while I looked it up and all. So then I was reading results of that number and looked to the right in the phone book and saw road runners number and it had all the same digits except the last one. I was like PHEW!
