Hands up anyone who has seen the View Askew movie "Dogma"?

(For those who don't know.. the same group that made Chasing Amy, Clerks, Mallrats etc)

I have to say this was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while...

BOY did it really do a good job on the whole God issue... A lot of religious stiff-shirts would be shaking with hell's fury after seeing that

Long live Goddess Alanis!!!! :D :D :D

...excellant casting of god. Though l was a bit unsure where the whole "muse" thing worked in with christianity.

i saw the film. excellent flick.

as to the 'muse' thing, well christians did leave alot of stuff out that they didn't like. and it didn't have to work in with cristainity, that isn't the only faith. they did say in the film about religion basically being the same thing all over, they just took different parts of the message, and gen-x is right it did cast some very provocotive arguments about religion. but then it also held hard (in my opinion) to some that are good beliefs.

This was one of those movies I wanted to see but never got around to seeing, I'll have to rent it someday. There were Christian groups protesting the movie and Kevin Smitm (the director) went undercover with the protestors.

yeah you're right genx. definitely a good flick. not at all what i was expecting. i like it when a movie catches me off guard. if you enjoy a refreshing movie with a strong social message, check out 'fight club'. i liked that one a lot. if you like a good crime movie check out 'the usual suspects' -- one of my fav.
