Hey!My computer mouse and keyboard freezes sometimes and to fix that i have to switch to standby mode and then wake it up..Im using windows XP Professional SP1 and the computer is a laptop(notebook)...
So...Is there a way to stop this from causing??

Get the latest drivers for every bit of hardware in the laptop.

go in Power Management in your BIOS and disable KEyboard and Mouse... it works on Award BIOS. I dunno what BIOS you are running on.

No, I have very sufficent cooling, and I am well aware of the insufficient stock cooling on most systems.
Besides the PSU, overheating is probably the biggest cause of system instability.
And since he has to switch to stand-by mode(his CPU would cool, and functionality would return) overheating doesn't sound impossible.
