Anyone have any idea how i can go about reducing this expression? 5x-7x/ x2-7x2

I end up factoring as x(5-7)/x(x-7x) which i see no other way to factor. Now i don't know where to go from here. :confused:

(5x-7x)/(x2-7x2) = x(5-7)/x2(1-7) = -2/-6x = 1/3x, x <> 0

Without brackets(literal)... -(7x^3-5x^2+7)/x

Otherwise 1/3x

Ahhhh ok. :lol: Thanks for the help guys. Math is not one of my strong subjects. :( How about this one. I think i got it but im not too sure.

y3 - y2 - 2y/ 6y2 - 24

y(y2 -y -2)/6(y2 - 4)

y(y-2)(y+1)/6(y-2)(y+2) --> y(y+1)/6(y+2)

That's right.
