I am trying to burn one of my DVDs, but it says that it is 7800Mb. That doesn't fit into a DVD. Is it double or something. Two layers?....I didn't know they made those yet.......is it possible to get a DVD-R to fit 7800Mb????

7800Mb is 7.1 GB, and the average DVD disc is 4.7Gb.... so ... er.... NOPE!

I don't know if this is true or not that DVDs can have more than 5Gb text data and less for other types .

I know that a normal DVD is 4,7Gb....but when I tryed to brun this DVD movie it sait that it was 7800Mb....I remember that I did read about double layered DVDs and double sided DVDs before DVD came on the market many years ago. And if they are out now a double layered DVD would be able to hold nearly 4,7 * 2 Gb of data. So do you think this i s a double layered DVD or is Nero 6.0 just kidding with me...and I have to fin d out how to trick it...???

DVD Movie disks are almost always double layered. You can't really trick it either, as the layers are not sequential but are physically on top of each other, so without a DVD press you ar egonna be stuck with some seeeerious compression :p

They haven't made any consumer DVD burners that support double layer or even DVD+-R media that could handle it

You could rip all the video out and re-structure everything, or maybe you could just rip certain vids and re-encode them to something lower
