I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS A WAY TO OPEN SOMETHING UP ON ANOTHER COMPUTER HOOKED UP ON THE NETWORK? MAYBE BY GETTING INTO THE OTHER COMPS C DRIVE AND OPENING STUFF. FOR INSTANCE IF YOU COULD HAVE FREECELL POP UP ON ANOTHER COMPUTER.

Well, I don't know the answer to your question but I thought I would take this opportunity to point out that it is proper Netiquet to NOT use capital letter unless you are stressing a point or your intention is to yell at someone.

I am sorry for the caps locks but anyway Is there a way to do it without having it running on the other computer?

You can use Winsock control that comes with VB. You would have to have your program installed on the other machine also, to listen for request(s).

Think about what you are asking. Would you like anyone to be able to pop-up something on your pc without you authorizing it?
This is what security is about.
So by installing your program on my pc, I decide that it is ok for you to do your pop-up thingy.
But since you sound devious; that authorization is what you are really looking for. But you still need your "server" on the remote pc to do your bidding.
