Vb7?
Hi guys,
VB6 against VB7… What are the advantages? I know VB6 quite well, any books you can recommend for me to start with using VB7 will be appreciated. Thanks

7 is so much better. there is no comparison, especially if you are just starting. Good books can be found by looking at amazon and reading some reviews. Wrox is pretty good for the most part.
Things are just easier to do in 7 for the most part.

Well, to play devil's advocate I'll give you the other side of the coin.
VB7 will probably be annoying in some aspects. I know a little VB6, and it was hard to figure out some things in .NET that were so easy in 6.
Printing, for example is a total pain in the hind quarters in VB7. I don't know what it was like in 6, but I know it's a pain now.
And they screwed up the scrollbars. They won't go to the maximum values if you use any number higher than the small change for the large change.
However, overall I would definately recommend VB7. I have learned a lot just by playing around with it and figuring stuf out. It's fairly nebie-friendly.
Hope I helped.
