    AGP *RESOLVED*

I haven't understood something about the AGP 8x and AGP 4x cards. Will a graphics card that is AGP 8x work on a motherboard that only supports 4x?

    Thanks

I would think so, unless the specific card isn't backwards compatible with it.

So most of them are backwards compatible? And there will be a slight difference in preformance or something like that?

only AGP 8X cards will take advantage of AGP 8X on motherboards.

If you buy an 8X AGP card and put it in a 2X AGP slot, it'll work but it won't be able to be used to it's full capability.
