Project needed in vb.net ???

Im looking for a project in vb.net for my independent study....
I took lot of projects to my professor but he rejected them...
He wants sth challenging...
I hope u guyz wud help me out and give me the specifications or the source where u can find specifications for that

Umm , what do you think of 'Compiler proj' ? I see you want it VB.NET , I haven't seen hard proj written in VB.NET , but a lot of them are in C# and C++ . But what exactly are you looking for ?

You could plan out the specifications for an application yourself.

Examples of programs:
1) Peer 2 Peer File Share/Chat Application
2) Inventory Tracking Application
3) Employee Scheduling Application
4) Time and Attendance Application

There are plenty of things you could do.
