Having all windows (code, form, ...) in the same window-state is better (VB 6.0)
-
Having individual window-states for each window (code, form, ...) is better
-
It doesn't matter for me
-
Never used VB 4.0

The best thing about VB 4.0
Hello All,
what I like a lot about VB 4.0 is that you can work with a maximised form, but the properties of the controls or your code-window still are NOT maximised. Switching between the windows is more easy than in VB 6.0 where all of the windows are maximised or on window-size. Nevertheless VB 6.0 is a good tool.
What do you think about this ?

sounds more like some one has issues with his docked (or not???) windows in the VB IDE.....
I don't know that VB6 is any different in VB4.... may want to look into some third party add-ons (VBAssist is a good one) to help with that window management.

I liked VB4 better, but it doesn't support everything (the OCX support lacks soo bad), misses a lot of useful commands... otherwise it's great. I love the better stability and workability of VB4 compared to VB6. Everything you did worked fine was it compiled program or not... VB6 doesn't always work in those situatations.

Maybe due to less experience in those time...
...or maybe due to hard work these times, I learned Vb6 fast, and ejoyed the ide more than the one of Vb4.
...
Now, approaching to Net ide, I discover I like it too.
Have a nice day you all

So, now we can change the question: is SDI Development mode better than the default of VB5 and VB6? (one vote for yes here!)
Oh, the VB6 looks just like VB4 now. I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! Brings back memories you know
