Splash screen + application

I am a beginner (just started programming in VB.net 2 days ago).
Got a question but cannot figure it out. I created spash screen (that type of copyright screen that appears before major application starts) And I also created a small application (form) NOw I want connect SPLASH SCREEN + my NEW APPLICATION. So the action will be after a user clicks on the .exe file:
1. Splash screen >
2. Application.

I inserted timer in the splash screen so it terminates it, but how to start the new application automatically?
I tried ; File>Add existing item>splash screen....
But it does not work consequtively. I can see on the screen only this or that "form" , but not one after another.

I wish i had Visual Studio.NEt on my computer...can you post the .exe? i have the framework...and i'll be getting VS.NET this weekend!! for $15 :-D University Student ID!!
