How many hours/day do you spend on your computer? Either at your job or at home.

Wish i had a job to be in front of a puter programming but not yet.
I spend 5 or 6 hours a night studying/making apps.
The only reason i dont study longer is cause i need sleep.
See ya.
Visual basic pro 6.0, VBScript, JAVA (still learning Java)

I have a 8-5 job 5 days a week. I take lunch whilst sitting infront of my screen (thinking of this, just came up with completly off-the-wall question, why are TV's called goggle-boxes?) anywayso that's 9 hours a day, with minimum of 1 1/2 of checking my mails when I get home each day.
Thats 10 1/2, sometimes I am up more at more unearthly hours of the night if I am creating an interesting app at home.
Saying that, I try to have weekends off & spend about 5 hours between the 2 days, and I may go twice a week for 3/4 hour lunch.
Now I have bored you to death (well, you asked me) I will sigh off!

HoneyBee:
A freind of mine in brazil says the same thing ..that the internet is paid through the phone bill? I dont understand this..i pay my ISP directly and my phone bill isnt affected at all. I guess it's the different country thing.
Alex:
If i had a job in the computer filed i would spend even more time in front of this contraption.
I remember staying up all night working on programs.

I spend on average 8-10 hours a day 7 days a week infront of the screen, and no I dont ware glasses, I guess my eyes are just used to the screen
(I'm 12)
12 hours a day!!!
it costs $50 a month, because since I am dialing in to my ISP localy the calls dont cost anything, but $20 for the ISP(unlimited hours a month), and $30 for the 2nd phone line,
and BTW my ISP emailed me the other day asking me why I spent over 350 hours connected this month, they wanted to make sure I wasnt using a stay connected program, or running some kind of public information service off of my computer(like an FTP server or something)

the question was on the computer, I spend about 75% of that time on the internet. Also I use winfire (I got at http://www.freedsl.com) to get onlinf for free (its the size of the taskbar) I also pay $10 a month for LAn connection to aol, and I also page 45 dollars a month for Cabel (which is getting installed in a few days)

I also spend about 10 to 12 hours a day on mine, and probably another hour reading or something like that. I used to watch TV and play video games all day, but now I only watch TV for about 2 hours a week. Which is fine with me, I would rather be doing something more productive :) .

I'd agree with the 75% of the time on the internet, however, my compnay pays for this as it is "on-line" 24/7.
Sophtware, I think I should move then! In the UK, whether you get a free ISP, or one like compuserve, you still have to pay the telephone bills for that time, luckily with my telephone company it's 1P a minute. I dread to think what someone with BT has to pay!

I spend far to much time on my PC ( according to the wife! )Ive been trying to teach myself VB on and off for about a year and my Phone bills have been outrageous one quarter it was £280 (about $400) just trying to get help on VB. As I am scottish money is a problem. So was I happy when BT brought out serve time (£5.99) £1. off if you use Freeserve a month for unlimited calls from 6pm to 6am weekdays and all weekend. You bet I was untill I tried to subscribe.
1. It wasent actualy happening when they advertised it they just wanted to find out what the interest was.
2. Scotland Not available till the end of the year.
3. BBC News two days ago there going to withdraw it as it isn't profitable enough!
So Im still looking at big bills!
