Developers on Mac?

I wondered if on this forum, there were some people that use a Mac to code and to script?

If there are, which languages, tools ... do you use? Or do you know any software houses that use a Mac instead of a PC.

Macs truely suck ass, just don't develop for them and they will hopefully fade away...

1/2 of the machines at my company are Macs & I'm trying to develop a couple of apps which can be used by both windows & the Macintosh. At the moment I'm just writing web applications in asp.net, shoving them on a server with IIS & letting everyone access the apps this way.

I have beta tested realbasic in the past ( http://www.realbasic.com ) - The IDE has a drag & drop feature for drawing the controls onto the forms & the syntax is very similar to vb but the coding part of this app is a little limited & lets it down a bit. You can download a trial copy though & play around with a demo of this one.

As I understand it from speaking to a mac programmer here, the 4D language is the most used one Mac development at the moment if you really want to get into it. I've found this link via yahoo if you need it too : http://www.4d.com/support/beginners_corner.html

Not really :> The OS was quite shocking, but I *really* want one of the G5s.

Aaaanyway. Emagic develop for Macs (creators of Logic Audio), Adobe, Macromedia.

1) This is a mostly VB forum, so doubtful you will get much Mac help.

2) The old Mac OS sucks. OS X on the other hand is excellent.

3) People that spell MS with M$, $uck a$$.

If you use wxWindows and the standard C++ libraries, you can compile a GUI application on Linux, Windows and Mac

G5 sucks. I love how apple made up those benchmarks on it's website.

I hope you people realize they optimized the programs for the G5, then took away ANY POSSIBLE optimizations and used it on the windows. The PC cpu's couldn't take advantage of anything.

The G5 is Apple's best computer they have made, but is still, by far, sub-par to PCs.

If anyone of you believe their benchmarks, then... well.... if you're that gullable, then HA

Im thinking about buying a G5 by christmas but i might hold off to see if apple is gonna put out any g5 laptops.
