May I make a suggestion?
When I'm following a thread and there is a high posting rate, I sometimes can't tell, even when the thread is marked with a red icon, whether that last 'new' post was the one I just made, or someone else's reply.
I think it would be useful if the thread didn't show up red if you were the last person to post on it. Alternatively there could be a column showing the name of the person who made the most recent post to a thread.
This could pose a problem when two people post at the same time, you might miss a post that's new to you because it is submitted while you are writing yours, so you are the last poster, but perhaps this kind of situation could be accounted for?
I think probably about 20-30% the thread views I make end up with me viewing my own posts.
