I've often thought about creating a trivia game that would mostly be based on movies and tv. My question is, does anybody know where I can find some specific information regarding what can and can not be used in questions/answers for a game like this?

For instance,
What movie contains the line "...because tomorrow is another day"? Answer: Gone With The Wind

I believe that would fall under the FACTS section of copyright law and would be considered fair use. But I'm really not sure about a question that uses an actor's name such as:

Who played Silent Bob in the movie Dogma? Answer: Kevin Smith

I believe that is also considered FACT and FAIR USE but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any experience with this or know where I could find that kind of information (with hiring an attorney)? Thanks.

I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about

I wouldn't think so either, but I've worked for a large retailer for 5 years and I seen the kind of lawsuits they received so I just want to be as careful as possible.

Anyone else have any input?
