Where in the registry (for XP) do i enable or disable the "Hide File Extentions for Known file types" in the folder options screen?

    registry...

I am needing to use the registry b/c this feature is really screwing up my program when i have to rename files of known filetypes. I was wanting to be able to "remember" what it was set at, Change it for my program, and then change it back if necessary.

Run "regmon" and then do it.
You can get regmon from www.sysinternals.com
