One easy little question

In a file opened for random access, is there a way of deleting an entire record, or is there no way around copying all "must-stay" records into a new file?

There IS a way to do it, but unfortunately I can't remember what it is. I'm at work right now and it's written in a book at my house. So I'll post the code later if no one else has by then.
