<gotit>HTML input button size

How does one define the <input type="button"> size?

if you put a value = "This button has a long name" you get a long button,
but if you put "x" then you get an itty bitty button.

I need TBHASN to be displayed on a longer button, as in VB.

I've tried size=## size=% width, etc. I'm out of ideas.

Changed my input="button"

to <button style="width75%">text on button</button>

Seems to do the job.
