I will be having around 3000 records, around twenty fields each.

For one thing, it saves space, setup program is also less bulky.

well, if you don't mind using your own searching and sorting mechanisms, you should be ok....

usually the benefits of using ADO/DAO & Jet outweigh the negative distribution aspects
