VS.NET 2003 Install question
I finally migrated to VS.NET 2003. Installed it over 2002 and then uninstalled 2002 and it made all the file associations to be lost and so i repaired the installation and its ok now. But the problem is if i put the installation CD in, it would again tries to intstall 'Visual Studio .NET Prerequisites' although they have been installed. Is it ok? or i have some problem with installation?

Prerequisites cd is , as I've tried and heard , only if you have not installed Common Runtimes , Framework 1.1 , and FrontPage Extentions . I would suggest fresh XP then begin your installing your cds .

I think that VS installer should be smart enough to detect what prerequisites are already installed, but it proves otherwise.

VS.NET 2003 requires .NET Framework 1.1 . Install it first from MS website then , it shouldn't ask for Prerequisites cd unless there some files need to be updated .
