    here's the problem, i want to make a vb program that disables windows capability to create new files or folders...

    i know that u can do it with the policy editor... but, me want to do it through VB.

    Does any1 have any suggestions?

    That would totally screw up windows, like write-protecting your hard drive.

    Why would you want to do that?
