I'm having a problem with the TV Output capability on my laptop and was wondering if anyone can help me out. Here goes:

On Sunday I bought a brand new HP Pavilion ze4300 notebook. It has an S-Video output, so today I hooked it up to my TV to watch a DVD. The computer screen appears on the TV screen A-OK, but whenever I try to play a DVD, it plays on the computer screen, but the window is blank on the TV screen.

I've tried WinDVD 4, Windows Media Player, and PCFriendly DVD player...all experience the same DVD playback problem: the TV won't display the DVD output, just the computer screen output.

Any ideas? I've checked the HP site, and I have the most recent video driver updates.

Thanks In Advance

Hmmm.

Perhaps the resolution is going beyond what your TV supports.

If not, it may be an overlay problem.

That's odd none the less.
