I wanted to know how you make the text to speech feature in VB have a male voice.

Why do you think there is a male voice? I would expect that they blended the phonemes produced by a few people to arrive at some neutral slightly pleasant voice. I'm not surprised that the voice is female, and wouldn't be surprised by multiple voices. However, if the technique of blending phonemes is roughly correct, then there would be a library of sounds for each voice. Wouldn't it be fun to have access to that library. You could pull one phoneme from each library and blend different genders within a single poly-syllabic word.
