    hard drive

    can i change a setting so that programs i install install to D: instead of C: , they dont always give you the option of where to install to.

    you can change the path of "program files", so that any programs that install in it will install on "D:\Program Files" (use TweakUI from microsoft powertoys)

    ...but you might find you have a few problems with programs that have already installed - in most cases just copying the contents of "program files" to the new path should work.

    If you have XP , then you would like this feature . RightClick MyComputer ------>Properties----->Advanced----->Environment Variables . There you go , you need to understand those symbols well so you won't have any problems later (read the help).
