I believe there are certain UDP ports you must open, if it does close them that is.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
    (Just a heads-up)

Hey Pirate how do you like Internet via Satelitte? I heard it wasn't that good because of slow latency, is that true? What kinds of speeds are you getting? Do you server anything on your computer? Or play games? How are things like that?

It's solved now . I had to use my VPN Connection proxy !

Edneeis , it's damn so fast . You can't imagine how download speed is .(512k) do you think this is enough ? when the server is busy , ISP garantee the speed won't be lower than 300k (well yesterday I had it around460k) other than that , it runs as wind. I've not tried playing online but I'll . Yes , I'm building my own webserver . I'll be sharing everything on my HD (no porn this time) . Just go for it Edneeis if you afford .

Well actually I'm moving now so DSL will be available but earlier I passed it up and now I guess I should have taken it. Thanks for answering my questions though.

In theory the latency should be about 300ms but in practice I always get 700ms.

The need for a proxy varies from day to day as they reconfigure your connection box without telling you (I've had to change twice in the last 48 hours).

If you can get a reliable wired connection satellite is no competition but if you are depending on GSM ir noisy phone lines then it is great.
