    Satellite Modem ?[Resolved]

    What is the best Satellite Modem (price and features) . One that supports new tech and before all ,support XP . I'm in a hurry , I have only one day before I make my mind up .

    Why are you opting for a satellite modem? Those are mainly used only when high-speed isn't available, as it's more costly.

    It's not that costy . It's for $300 (all charges included) . I fed up with ADSL . I need high bandwith connection . .I'm confused which one should I pick up?

    Now , that question would be : Do all Sat ISPs support all Sat modem (and vice versa) ? and What standards do these modems follow ? come on guys .

    Satellite usually isn't as fast as DSL, more like dual ISDN (faster than that probably, but no DSL). Cable's what you're going to want.

    I do have DSL (64K) , it's not that fast . I just wanted to install Satelitte connection to get more than 500K . That's all .

    WOW, what a speed ! It's damn fast ! I bought "Sky2PC" and my ISP is OpenSky . Thanks for all who tried to help me thought !
