I need a free or cheap But Reliable OCR ActiveX control. I just need to check that particular

part of the Tiff document has chracters entered (manually written). We r actually developing

applications for a survey companies where every (manually) written survey is converted to tiff

first and then checked with OCRs for any possible survey answers.

we have already surfed the net for possible controls. Most of them r too costly ($1000 to 3500)
e.g. LeadTools and VisionShape

Has anyone dfeveloped such functionality before. Remember we don't need to judge the characters,

we just need to check their presence.
