You know how the NFL, NBA, etc. allow certain TV stations to play their games?

The US govt. should do the same. Give war coverage to the highest bidder.

What do you think? :)

Could definately cut down costs. Then they could have sponsours on the back of tanks and soldiers, and product placement on the front! :D

That is sweet!

I never thought of that. We could have a war once a year, 6 months out from the superbowl that way I get two big events a year!

Who is next...syria?

After Syria we can do Afganistan, then guess who, France. It will be like the Olympics that changes a different location every year.

:D

I think PC_Madness is a little short sighted here, it can be much bigger than that. Consider the technology being used in MLB these days. All you need is a flat surface (and why stop there, why not texture map the tanks) and you can have different sponsors everywhere.

All wars will have to be fought in wide open tank-friendly terrain. That way, the ground itself can be replaced by a series of checkerboard images and videoclips advertising various products (would DOW Chemical advertise?). All vehicles can be wrapped with logos for the various products (and for an extra fee, the advertisers competitors can be advertised on the enemy buildings, tanks, people, etc.). In fact, we can probably come up with symbolic overlays for the whole thing.

Oh yeah, at some point, reality begins to resemble a video game. That would be an interesting twist.
