Can i backup all my data onto multple CDR's that allow me to boot off them and restore my computer to the prevoius state.

if so what software can do this?

Yah , that's right . It backs up system files or personal files or even the whole partition to an image file . Whenever you get in troubles just restore that file and everything goes back to normal states .

Norton Ghost 2003 does the job too . You can write the image to multiple CDs or dvd .

Cheers... In norton ghost select span across multiple files, set the files to around 700 mb, then burn each file.

"Nero Burning Rom" has an option for a system backup, which does exactly what you want ;)

I've got Nero 5.5, but I've got a feeling it's been around for a while. It's under "File" - > "Burn HD Backup..."
