We've got a Dell PowerEdge 1300 Server here, 256MB RAM, P3-700 MHz, Windows NT Server 4.0.

Since yesterday, the server won't boot up. All I get is the initial Dell screen, after which the SCSI drives are initialized. After this, I get a screen something like this:

Beyond this, there is nothing I can do.
Any help at all, I'd really appreciate.

I did manage to run a reinstall of Win NT, but after it inspects my hardware, I get an error mentioning that

'ntkrnlmp.exe' is missing.

Hope that serves as a clue. :(

Maybe the hard disk died.

I don't think HD is corrupt , Your starting point would be : copy the missing file to system32 (I'm not sure if it's system32 or winnt) anyways to system folder and see what happen next !

I'm going to attribute this to some paranormal phenomena, because the server has suddenly started working again.

Thanks anyways.
