    Windows 98 and databases

Has anyone had a problem on windows 98 with software that talks to databases. I get the error:

Unable to initialise DAO/JET DB engine

On the machine with windows 98 the machine says in the registry that it has JET 3.51 and 4.0 as well as MDAC 2.7

The same software works on windows 2000 and also xp

    does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Sarah

try un-referencing the reference(for DAO) and then adding the reference again. Is this code you are trying to do in VBA?
